I have said this for years...

but the R's need a Condi/JC Watts ticket for '08. This makes me even more convinced that it would cause apoplectic fits in the left. A small snippet:

Republicans in Congress are spending like profligates with no tomorrow. The freshman senator from my home state of Oklahoma, Dr. Tom Coburn, recently assumed the role of skunk at the garden party when he inquired about a quarter of a billion dollar bridge to nowhere in Alaska, and had the temerity to suggest that money could be used to rebuild several real bridges to somewhere in Louisiana and Mississippi.

I doubt it will happen, but a guy can dream. Condi has the knowledge and talent for the international events, JC has the experience with Congress to hopefully convince them to quit spending like D's. Both ar outstanding speakers. (Of course I would have to buy a bunch of RJ Nabisco stock before the campaign started, so I could retire young.)

Good call on the Oreo stock too. Maybe we could collect them after they throw them and give them to Bono to feed people with; recycling and all that.

Well, I figure Condi would appeal to the middle ( Pro-choice and affirmative action), while JC would pull in the social cons. Just a win-win, to me. And I think either one could take Billary out to the woodshed in a debate.

Plus they've pretty much shot their "Blackface/Uncle Tom" wad on the guy in Virginia.

Er, Mike Steele is in Maryland, THS, not Virginia. Those two states appear to appear fallen into the Mirror Universe with respect to how they're normally assumed to behave politically, since VA has a Dem governor and Maryland a GOP one now. I really really hope Steele can win, even aside from the selfish reasons that I'd love to work for him.

But that hairsplitting aside, I couldn't agree more. If JC doesn't get a national nod, I wouldn't want to see him replacing Coburn, but when was the last time Jim Inhofe did anything useful?

I'm a dope. That whole DelMarVa thing runs together in my brain, since they all look alike up there...

Virginia most certainly does not look like Maryland.

Perish the thought.

THS, you may mean West Virginia, where they all do look alike.
