I think it's a fantastic idea. I wish I was still a resident to give signing the thing some power.

Maybe they should have a "I don't live in Louisiana, but I'm with you in spirit" petition. I'd sign that.
Hey, why not? It's not as bad as what some lefties felt they should have in November 2004: a vote in the Presidential elections, because it "impacted" them. This certainly impacted the USA.
