This is why the Euros are so hostile to us. There is just no history being taught in school, there. People who know history like the US.

That could be funny if it weren't so pathetic.

The day the story was reported was somewhat ironic, also.

Outrageous.

Maybe he found it shocking that "les anglo-saxons" didn't act in the same despicable manner that many of his countrymen, and fellow Europhiles, did.

Is it sheer ignorance or the arrogant expectation of French "leadership" - that which we do, others must also have done? The projection of assumed (mis-)behaviors onto other people, based on personal bad experience, is a hallmark of "universalist" Socialist thinking.

Oi. I read that and shook my head. Ignorance and arrogance, rolled into one statement. Were I Chirac, this minister would be an ex-minister.

But thinking upon the matter, I thank God that I am *NOT* Chirac.

Red! Nice to see you out here!

Jeff, yes, thank God you're not. We'd miss all that Chirac-related humor. I still chuckle every time of think of French or British cuisine.
