Delay Indicted

If he's convicted, boot his butt.

Stepping aside gracefully RIGHT THIS MINUTE would be a good start.

Well, he has stepped aside as House leader.

If he's guilty, take him out.

It just pisses me off that the minute there's a whisper of impropriety by a conservative, everybody and their mother is on top of it to point out the devil he is.

But when there is a good deal of evidence that some extremely high ranking government officials are getting political funds from foreign nations at tea socials, no one will investigate.

I don't think he's a devil, Cullen. I've always thought he was just an a$$hole.

Posted by: tree hugging sister at September 28, 2005 04:34 PM

I didn't say you were, THS, it's just a sore spot from previous administrations.

Even if he's acquitted, I still wish we'd seen the last of him. David Dreier and Roy Blunt are both big steps up as replacements, and I'd hate to see them have to step aside in the future. Tom Delay is of political benefit rather than harm to a possible maximum of one person, himself.

Delay is certainly an asshole, but I'm not impressed by the indictment yet. This particular prosecutor seems to have a history of using indictments as a political weapon.

I will give you that the indictment is a thin mint at best. One check as evidence?

I'm with dave 100% on this one. The GOP can sure start a revolution, but they sure have problems with their leadership once they get the con. Isn't there a decent, affable, non-semi-crook among them?

"Isn't there a decent, affable, non-semi-crook among them?"

JC Watts and Susan Molinari both left the House, and Congress is the worse for it. But to echo a post below: Peter King for Minority Leader!

Posted by: Dave J at September 29, 2005 11:26 AM

Er, Majority Leader. Well, I suppose he could do both. :-p
