Pffft.

Major Dad sent this over with a note from his XO that said:
"Apparently, I was born a few years too late...or maybe this is a Taliban publication..."

Well, the oppressive religious heterodoxy that kept women down in the 50s...

heh.

Link's busted, Sis (needs another w).

Snopes fried this one some time back. It was made up in the 90s, probably by Bingley.

My grandmother was strong enough to carry a small pig under each arm almost a mile out to the barn. If my granfather had behaved this way he'd have had a porcine enema right quick.

Wow. That would never even get close to the publishers building these days, much less printed.

Oh yeah, it's definately a goof. Not written by the Bingster, tho, since no mention of minivans.

I have been tearing apart search engines, looking for a copy of a VW ad from '65(?). Something about how it was the car to have for those little 'accidents' the little woman always has in the parking lot. 4 bolts, $24.95 and you've got a new fender and no one's the wiser. I mean, it was amazing, the tenor of the thing. (Even when read by teenage moi in the early 70's.)

If the woman was small enough, I guess she couldn't see properly over the dash. A booster seat would be better investment than a lifetime supply of bumpers...

:::ducking:::

I'm giving this one to Christie.

Nightfly... you are considering becomeing a Darwin award winner?
Just a note from a 'small woman'... "ducking" puts you right in the line of fire. Of course, not ducking leaves other vulnerable portions of the anatomy unprotected... either way, you are in deep trouble.
I'd suggest simply not dissing small women. >;-)
